Founders

It started from a true passion in food and grew from there. From the passion grew a business model; finding new brands and exposing them to the marketplace through distribution and branding.

Ryan N Meczyk
President

Bio:
Ryan has been an entrepreneur since his early days at the University of Illinois. Ryan headed a large online wholesale business before starting his own logistics company in 2007. His experience and expertise in logistics allowed him an opportunity to transition into the Food Distribution business. Ryan is still the current President of Norman Logistics. He enjoys working closely with our vendors and seeking new ventures under the Norman umbrella. Ryan received a Bachelor’s Degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences with a concentration in Business and Psychology from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.

Favorite Food Moment
I don’t necessarily have a favorite food moment, but I do have a favorite restaurant. Buffalo Joes restaurant in Evanston, IL is the best place on the planet to get some good wings. Stop in and try it for yourself; you can’t go wrong.

Zachary C. Damato
Vice President

Bio:
Zach has been involved in entrepreneurial ventures since he began his studies in entrepreneurship at Purdue University. Zach is always seeking new ventures and industries to learn from. He enjoys new business ventures, networking, cooking, fashion, music and innovation. He gets excited working with new brands and creatively expressing their image to consumers. Zach graduated Purdue University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Organizational and Leadership Management with a certificate in Entrepreneurship and Innovation from the Burton D. Morgan School of Entrepreneurship.

Favorite Food Moment
Sitting on the kitchen counter as a kid watching my parents cook. It's where my passion for food came from. The way food brings together family, friends and good conversation inspired me to involve myself in the food business.

Zachary Nudelman
Regional Sales Director

Bio:
Zach has had a passion for food, primarily unique foods, since he took an interest in cooking during his years at Kansas University. Zach incorporates a passion in food and years of sales experience. He enjoys the outdoors, skiing, watching his Jayhawks and, like his business partners, experiencing different restaurants. Most importantly, Zach truly takes pride in working closely with our retail accounts and managing Norman’s sales force. Zach has a Bachelors Degree in Management with a minor in Business Strategies from Kansas University.

Favorite Food Moment
Inspired by the popular show Diners, Drive-In and Dives, I set off on a six month excursion around the country searching for out of the ordinary foods along with tasting as many Diner, Drive-In and Dives as possible. The combination of the open road and an empty stomach kept me excited for each and every meal.

Out-Dated Products
All of Norman Distribution's out dated products are donated to local food banks and charities. Even though retailers won't accept out-dated product, it can still be consumed by others who are less fortunate.
